Going to Coachella (or any other music festival) and stumped on what to bring or wear? Keep cool, stay comfortable, put on your flower crown & don’t overthink it! Here are a few insider tips to make your life a little easier;
Accessories – Aside from your flower crown (which is completely optional, of course) you can throw on your most eye-catching accessories to make any outfit pop. Don’t be afraid to accessorize with metal cuffs, bangles, beads, chokers, plenty of rings, and maybe even feathered earrings... think boho beauty.
Sunnies – Protect your eyes and bring the best pair of sunnies you have (keeping in mind, of course, to match them with your outfit). You’re going to be exposed to the sun for a long period of time and this would be more of a necessity than a fashion statement. This brings us to number 3…
Sunscreen – Be good to your skin, lovelies! Bring sunscreen to protect your skin from UV rays. You may even want to accessorize and shield your skin with a nice hat.
Water bottle – When it’s hot and you’re walking around or even dancing, staying hydrated is a necessity. Here’s a solution, bring a full water bottle. Aside from keeping you hydrated, it would also help eliminate the need for disposable cups... environmentally friendly!
Carry all – Bring the best bag you can find to put all your belongings in. I would personally bring a bag with fringe... it’s such a great look for festivals.
Now on to what you can wear:
Tank top – A loose tank top would be a great item to wear. It’ll help keep you cool and comfortable by not clinging to your skin too much. Try a tribal printed top; a classic festival look.
Swimsuit – You don’t have to be heading for a swim in order to wear a swimsuit. Why don’t you try wearing the PRASLIN bikini under your tank top or lacy kimono? You could even try wearing something like CANCUN with your mini denim shorts.
Crop Tops – You can always wear a great crop top. They’re trendy and perfect for the festival! If I were you, I’d go with items like BAIA DO SANCHO, AGADIR, and IOS.
Rompers and Playsuits – Playsuits are a no brainer. Get ones with mixed prints and ultimate boho vibes... or, if you have a plain coloured one like LAGOS, this would be perfect to pair with colourful or fringed kimonos.
Boots or Sandals – Not sure what shoes to wear? I’d definitely recommend going with either the most awesome pair of ankle boots you have or the cutest strappy sandals for comfort.
These are just a handful of helpful tips. My final tip to you lovelies is to just express yourselves freely and have fun with the experience of the festival. Music festivals are all about fun and having a great time with your friends. So to recap; just be you and have a great time at the festival!
