If you’re like me, meaning you’re always finding a way to upgrade your wardrobe, then this is the article for you. I am a huge Instagram user and I love several trends I’ve been seeing lately. So, I did some research on trend upgrades and I’m hoping these tips would help with your closet renovation and upgrade.
-
Ripped Jeans – Instead of the usual ripped jeans, go for jeans with shredded or frayed bottoms. I first saw this on Andrea Gastelum of the blog Fake Leather.
-
Choker tops or dresses – no doubt that choker outfits have taken most by storm. We’ve seen them on celebrities and models alike. Wear the tops with ripped jeans for a casual look, or wear a body hugging piece with a tight pencil skirt.
-
Chokers – If you do not have a choker top yet, just throw on a choker! I suggest matching them with outfits that have a plunging neckline or off shoulder tops like BAGAN. You can also wear sleek metal chokers with outfits like ST. TROPEZ and make heads turn.

- You could also opt to wear a thin scarf. These look especially good with simple button down shirts.

Turtlenecks – Turtlenecks are a classic. Who can forget the beautiful Audrey Hepburn in that classic black turtleneck? Bring yours out and remember that the're not just for winter anymore! Try wearing a sleeveless one with BEIRUT.

Bomber jackets – honestly, I don’t own much bomber jackets. I only have one and it’s made with faux leather. I rarely get to use it, because, well I live in a tropical country. However, I’ve seen a bomber jacket trend that I would absolutely love to have in my closet; beautifully embroidered silk jackets.

Monochrome – Monochrome is actually more of a classic trend; it never goes out of style, it looks super chic and sophisticated, and it’s always my go-to look.
- Speaking of monochrome, the all gray outfit, or as they call it “groutfit”, is a trend that I am actually very willing to wear every day.
-
Ribbed outfits - How can one pull off the all gray outfit aka groutfit? One tip is to have one that's ribbed. Ribbed outfits have instantly become one of my favorites. Check out MELBOURNE.
-
Trainers – from Yeezys to Stan Smiths, fashion bloggers and IGers have hopped into the trainers trend. Who wouldn’t? It looks effortlessly stylish and it’s super comfy. Wear white trainers with that ribbed groutfit, and you’re good to go!

- Have over the knee boots? Instead of wearing them on top of your jeans, wear them with miniskirts and short dresses. They look even more sexy and trendy when they are made of materials like suede.

Denim on denim – upgrade you denim on denim style game by actually having your top match the shade of your bottoms.
